When I heard Bareminerals came out with a new liquid foundation, I knew I had to try it! I’ve been a fan of Bareminerals products for years, I love the idea of more natural ingredients especially after having Audrey because her skin is so fresh and new and sensitive; I’m always kissing her face!

The main aspect of this foundation is that it’s a “custom blend.” This means you go through an app on your phone and scan different parts of your face/wrist and Bareminerals will send you your foundation shade made especially for you, even labeling your name on the bottle. This foundation is 1 FL oz which is pretty standard for most liquid foundations. I love the glass packaging with gold accents, it’s a frosted bottle and comes with a pump which I definitely prefer! It’s actually packaged similarly to the Skinlongevity serum but a little smaller.

As far as the experience goes, I downloaded the M2F app onto my iphone 5s, you can go into a bareminerals boutique to scan/order also if you don’t have a compatible phone. Turn on the sound and a voice will instruct you to scan white paper to calibrate your camera. After that the voice will tell you to scan the inner part of your wrist, forehead, left/right cheek, and left/right jaw. It’s very simple and I scanned my skin several times to make sure my foundation shade looked similar each time. However, I strayed from the scanning instruction a little. I apply fake tanning lotion so my face is typical a few shades lighter than my body. So I ended up scanning my inner wrist, forehead, neck, chest, left arm, and right thigh. Of course you can follow the instructions or scan different parts of your body for your average shade; this is just how I chose to do it. After you finish scanning a bottle of your foundation will appear with your name on it. It doesn’t tell you your actual shade or what range you are getting (as in warm, cool, neutral) but you can infer from the picture of your product. Then you proceed with placing your order and I received my foundation in about 3 business days!

Most Bareminerals foundations are closer to the $30 price range but this one is $49. I think they upped the price for the experience you receive from having the custom blend, sleeker glass packaging, and your name on the bottle. I personally think it’s a little steep for a light-medium coverage foundation and should be offered closer to the $30 range but I still plan to repurchase because I love how it looks on my skin :)

My review: As a mom I love an easy tinted moisturizer, I've been using the complexion Rescue from Bareminerals for a few years and it’s so good! In my opinion this Made 2 Fit Fresh Faced Foundation is complexion rescue in a foundation formula and I’m in love. I received a medium-tan shade that’s a neutral to warm undertone which was pretty spot-on for me. It’s a thicker consistency, moisturizing, light-medium buildable coverage, and feels very lightweight and comfortable on the skin like you have nothing on. I like foundations that still let some imperfections shine through, like my freckles, I basically just want some tint to match my face to my body! It’s not as dewy as complexion rescue, it’s a more natural finish that dries onto the skin so it’s not sticky and is more long lasting. I’m not the biggest fan of setting powders with my dry skin and this foundation lasted, without transferring, over 8 hours in the summer heat on me without powder. I love that it lasts on the skin and makes your pores and imperfections blurred without looking heavy or cake-y. I always moisturize before applying foundation and sometimes to give that little extra oomph I’ll apply a dewy primer, however in the pictures I skipped the primer to show the foundation alone. I apply 1-2 pumps with a damp beauty blender and love the effect it gives, lit from within radiance like the sun is hitting your face at just the right angle all day. In other words, I highly recommend this product! I think it will work for all skin types, if you’re more oily you might have to set with a powder.

In my opinion this is the perfect every day foundation that looks so natural on the skin! Let me know if you’ve tried it!
