I am a woman that loves a good tan, all about wearing lots of bronzer to look sunkissed and glowing. So I’ve definitely tried quite a few off the shelves! Today I’m reviewing another favorite brand of mine, Bobbi Brown. I feel like the older I get the more I appreciate simplicity and more natural looking makeup. Bobbi Brown’s line is all about enhancing your natural features with tones that look beautiful on the skin and blend like a dream. I have a few products from Bobbi Brown but am just focusing on the Bronzers for this blog post :)

Like I said, Bobbi Brown’s products really focus on creating skin-tone-makeup that looks very natural and the bronzers are no exception! I have two shades, Bali Brown #5 and Deep #4. I first heard about these from Jessie James Decker, I love her makeup! As far as the packaging goes, it’s very simple and chic just like the brand; smooth black compact with a mirror. The size is 0.28 oz or 8 g and a little goes a long way with these bronzers. The powder itself is long wearing, blendable, and very pigmented! You have to apply these with a light hand because the color payoff is so rich. I don’t have the issue of these bronzers fading on my skin or transferring, however my skin is pretty dry. These cost $44 which is pretty pricey but worth it in my opinion as these are excellent bronzers and last forever since a little goes a long way. I purchased the shade Deep #4 over 2 years ago at Sephora and use it 1-2x a week and I still haven’t hit pan. This is the 2nd Bali Brown #5 shade I bought, the 1st one I purchased at Nordstrom (Sephora doesn’t carry the shade Bali Brown) also about 2 years ago but I dropped it and it shattered :( I purchased the 2nd one last summer also at Nordstrom and use it maybe 3x a month and it doesn’t even look used at all.

I use the Deep shade (pictured above on the right) as a contour, under my cheekbones/under jaw mainly. It’s the darkest shade that Bobbi Brown offers, a matte deep golden brown. If I look back in pictures, when I take the time to apply this I notice how much better my makeup looks and my cheekbones just pop. I apply it with a Clinique Blush Brush and really blend it up and out back to the hairline.

Bali Brown (pictured above on the left) is an illuminating bronzing powder, which means is more shimmer-y but it doesn’t look like glitter, its subtle. I love this in the summer to look more golden sunkissed but still wear it year round. It really does look like a real tan! I would opt for a different shade if you have more pink undertones, but if you’re neutral-olive like me then you’ll love it. I apply this with a Sephora #55 airbrush brush on my cheeks, around my hairline, nose, above the brows, and on my neck. Basically everywhere the sun would naturally hit the face. I’ve also used this as a quick eyeshadow!

This picture above was my graduation day from Cosmetology school, wearing both Deep & Bali Brown! Hello cheekbones! Any other Bobbi Brown fans?! I definitely have my eye on their Shimmer Brick to buy next :)
